In the midst of the heatwave we’re thrilled to welcome back Madrid’s finest, The Parrots, with their brand new single ‘Girl’.

Recorded down by the seaside in Cádiz at the studios of much-loved Spanish sound engineer Paco Loco and produced by the Horrors’ Tom Furse. The track follows the release of their own unique take on ‘Soy Peor’ by Bad Bunny, one of the biggest songs on the Latin / Spanish hip-hop scene of recent years.

Talking about ‘Girl’, the band said:

“For us this is a very special song, after years working in the same way, we decided to take a bold step and took Tom Furse on board. His views and advice while producing our next songs made us take a leap to the next level, and open our minds to new creative visions.”

Tom Furse added:

“Girl is a perfectly formed piece of sun tinged garage pop that shows The Parrots have both attitude and songwriting chops to spare – the only challenge was not messing around with it too much.”

The band are currently in the process of writing a new album, the follow up to their debut album, ‘Los Niños Sin Miedo’, which was released in August of 2016 and was critically acclaimed.

This summer the band take their enthralling, ramshackle live show across Spain, playing a number of the country’s best festivals.
