Only one week until ‘Black River Promise’ is out, ahead of this, Lomond Campbell has released a new track from the album: ‘Fallen Stag’.

The track premiered on For Folk’s Sake today:

Inspiration for track, Campbell said was “finding an enormous red deer which had succumbed to pneumonia. Alas, the poor beast had fallen only days before winter was about to break and make way for one of the best summers the Highlands had seen for years.”

Now, we can hear the whimsical reverie more clearly than ever before thanks to the efforts of Jeff Barrett and Heavenly Recordings. The imprint has gone through remastering the album and giving its cover art a fresh lick of paint in hopes of attracting a larger audience. Given how gorgeous the track that you can listen to below is, we here at For Folk’s Sake don’t think Heavenly and Campbell will have much of a problem in achieving that goal.” – For Folk’s Sake
