RECORD STORE DAY
Record Store Day is back for it’s third year in the UK — this Saturday April 16th. It’s your chance to get your hands on exclusive releases and catch live shows in independent record stores around the UK. We’re proud to be representing again and will be spending the afternoon over at our local store Rough Trade West where Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou will also be busking at 4pm. & here’s the team Heavenly will be fielding for RSD this year…

TREVOR MOSS AND HANNAH-LOU — TIN TABERNACLE TEN
A beautifully packaged 10¨ vinyl with a six track live recording from their now legendary Kilburn Tin Tabernacle show. There will be a handful (30 in total) of handstamped & signed vinyls only available at Rough Trade West on the day. Trevor & Hannah will also be performing a little later on down the road at our Record Store Day after party at Ginglik where they will be joined by Jack Joseph & Colorama. There will be discounted £2 flyers available on the counter at Rough Trade West on the day.

NOTE FOR THE DIARY
We will also be hosting a market stall at the Independent Label Market on 21st May. Jeff (Barrett) will be going back to his roots and manning the Heavenly pitch, trading amongst other things; stories for beer (we are hoping to be plonked right outside the Endurance pub. Martin (Kelly) has also promised to raid the Heavenly vault for lost nuggets & (Motown) Junk. Stay tuned…
THE HEAD AND THE HEART
Oh yes, April 16th also sees the release of The Head and the Heart’s self titled debut.
We were reminded just how much we love these guys (& gal) last night at their sell-out headlining show at The Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. A brilliant end to their UK tour as the support act for The Low Anthem. We hope you love the record as much as we do & if you in any way dig this there will be plenty of chances to see them perform live this Summer.
HVN JBX @ GINLIK
I hope you’ve left enough space in your diary for one final event on 16th April cos we’ve saved a treat til last. On Saturday night 16th April it’s HVN JBX at Ginlik in Shepherds Bush and is a night not to be missed. The Heavenly boys have been spinning as a collective for the past 20 years. From their legendary Heavenly Social nights at the Albany via Turnmills to The Social in Little Portland Street, we are now in to our 2nd year at Ginlik with HVN JBX.
This month playing live we have Colorama with support from Jack Joseph and Heavenly’s very own Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou. On ’til 3am with DJ sets from The Bees & Gorillaz Djs Schizodelic Sound and the Heavenly Jukebox! HVN JBX Facebook event

CANNELLISM — HVN18 ART WILL EAT ITSELF (May 1992)
Paul Cannell was the artist responsible for the Heavenly bird, the Flowered Up flower, the Screamadelica sun (which is hidden in one of these paintings) & HVN13 ‘Toasted Cheese Sandwich’ which hangs proudly on the Heavenly wall. HVN18 ‘Art Will Eat Itself’ was his exhibition.

Heavenly Recordings opened The Social on 5 Little Portland Street, London W1 in 1999 following our infamous weekly Heavenly Social nights at The Albany. The Social was set up with a simple manifesto – to provide great music and better booze to anyone who fancied tripping through the doors. Eleven years on and we are still doing just that.
