You could say we’re on a roll here at Heavenly… after a brilliant year releasing debut albums by Stealing Sheep and TOY, earlier this month we introduced you to Charlie Boyer and The Voyeurs and their debut single ‘I Watch You’.
The former two received critical acclaim across the board, while the latter is currently causing a stir both with fans and in the press (NME: “They make rip-roaring proto-punk like it’s 1973”).
However we’re not taking a back seat just yet because we’ve still got more tricks up our proverbial sleeve… Before the year is out, we’ve got one more new group for you and we are hoping that you’ll be up for giving them the support you’ve given to the rest of our artists.
Yes, it is our absolute pleasure to reveal the debut single from the hotly-tipped Temples whose self-described “neo-psych” has been a firm fixture on the Heavenly Jukebox for the past couple of months.
‘Shelter Song’ will be released by Heavenly Recordings on Monday 12th November 2012, backed with ‘Prisms’.
Both tracks were recorded in early September and produced by Temples in Pyramid Studios, their home studio in Kettering.
The single will be available on 7” and download, with artwork courtesy of Thomas Caslin (thanks Tom!) We’ve got the first look at the video below, go see!
The 7” is available to pre-order now from the Heavenly emporium, as well as selected independent retailers at the links below:
