“Sonic Youth, New Order, Ride, and, as ever, Neu! spring readily to mind. However…it is this intrepid combo’s assembly of these disparate echoes into something of their own that takes them ever closer to the pantheon of greats. Join The Dots is another exhilarating leap in that direction”

“Just over a year since their debut and now a second has arrived… Songs pound onwards, elliptical guitar lines wrapping round and round…while TOY may be fast workers, they’ve also got a faintly astonishing level of quality control”
Fake DIY ****

Join The Dots’ opens with ‘Conductor’, a hypnotic, almost meditative seven-minute instrumental, and from then on, from the self-pity of ‘Frozen Atmosphere’ to the ten-minute post-punk closer ‘Fall Out of Love’, it remains absolutely compelling
