Following the release of ‘P Stands For Paddy’ Absolute Lilt – Lisa Canny and Niamh Hinchy – have today released ‘Dreaming in Lilt’, the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming 7-track Criostal EP, which is released digitally on 31st July.
Flowing in on a slow motion percussion loop that seems to cross borders as it progresses, Absolute Lilt bring an R&B-infused traditional Irish melody, through their closely-blended voices, right into the 21st century. The resulting track is utterly magical and – dare we say it – a piece of truly transcendent music. A wordless, laid-back summer anthem waiting to happen.

Part of the all-female Irish collective BIIRD, Absolute Lilt said about the new single:
“This is something different for us. We wanted to fuse Irish lilt with a world music feel and create a hypnotic soundscape to get lost in. One of our favourites from the EP!“

The EP brings a modern take on one of Ireland’s oldest vocal traditions, lilting and is a swirling hypnosis of a song that marries two perfect voices to create something that’s part Balearic and 1000% Irish.
