A double-A-sided single that heralds the arrival of Marsy ~ ‘Chance the Dancer’ and ‘Let No Other Change Your Mind’.’
Chance the Dancer and Let No Other Change Your Mind began life in a childhood bedroom. Written over years in private, these songs grew from a deeply personal, cathartic practice — a quiet archive of emotion built with just voice and guitar.
After amassing a backlog of material and tentatively sharing it at small live shows, the project gradually found its footing. The songs evolved beyond their home-demo origins, shaped collaboratively into something fuller while preserving their delicacy and emotional honesty. Rather than leaning into bombast, the sound embraces space, restraint and vulnerability.
Recorded in Margate with producer Mike Lindsay, the tracks were carefully sculpted, allowing air and texture to heighten their impact without overwhelming their core intimacy.
Let No Other Change Your Mind begins as a simple acoustic meditation before expanding into a swirling, cathartic release of layered instrumentation. It captures the process of confronting something damaging and emerging with clarity.
In contrast, Chance the Dancer is brighter and more immediate — bold, melodic and hook-driven. Beneath its momentum lies a reflection on missed chances that reveal themselves as quiet salvations, and the strength found in self-reliance.
Elsewhere, Changes drifts in on strummed guitars, soft keys and hushed percussion, exploring the moment of stepping beyond learned helplessness.
Rosé, inspired by Cerys Matthews’ Chardonnay, pairs soothing melodies with heavier themes, tracing trauma, dissociation and cycles of self-destructive behaviour with warmth and grace.
Together, these songs introduce a world that is intimate yet expansive — tender, searching, and quietly powerful.
