Without doubt one of the most exciting bands in Australia right now, Delivery have announced details of their second album, Force Majeure, which is out on Friday 17th January 2025.
Having recently released the first single from the album ‘Digging The Hole’, they return with ‘Operating At A Loss’, the latest track to be lifted from the long-player.

Starting with a rumble of drums and menacing bass, before exploding out of the speakers with the kind of punk rock new wave kick that feels like it might be preparing to propel the listener through a brick wall, ‘Operating At A Loss’ gets extra points for managing to both nod to Magazine’s ‘Shot By Both Sides’ and include an extensive rant about coffee in the second verse.
Talking about ‘Operating At A Loss’ the band said:
“I’ve never really worked in a proper office, but ‘Operating At A Loss’ is what I imagine goes on around the professional workplace. Lots of business jargon, dudes in suits climbing the corporate ladder, plenty of sentiments like “you’ve got to spend money to make money” etc. To be fair, I do like that phrase although this song is more about the first component than the second one. I also like playing guitar, and on this occasion I made up some chords and told the band to play them on repeat so I could do a big solo. “You win some, you lose some” etc.”

Already with an enviable pedigree, their debut attracted fans from Henry Rollins (who has played almost the whole catalogue on his KCRW show) to Rolling Stone Australia (Top 10 albums 2022) through old school DIY word of mouth; Delivery are that rare thing, a true band’s band and a fan’s band simultaneously.
Force Majeure is an urgent, joyous noise – a twelve track battering ram of an album that builds hugely on the promise of their debut and acts as a calling card from your new favourite honest rock’n’roll band.
Finally, the band, who recently hit the U.K. to play a short tour, including a rammed show at London’s Social, return in October for a run of shows with The Vaccines (tickets here). Further U.K. headline shows for 2025 will be announced shortly. The full list of dates is as follows:
