Killer reviews for their debut album ‘Fine Art’ (“poetry on the cubicle wall of a wild night out” NME 5, “intimidatingly brilliant tribute to hedonism, identity and the pure joy of living fast” Irish Times 5, “an absolute riot” Louder 5*). A roadblocked one night pub takeover in Dalston. The cover of the NME. The Sundance premiere of the band’s film in Soho. Sessions for 6Music and Radio 1. No 2 in Ireland behind Taylor Swift, No 1 hip hop LP in England.

Multiple appearances at Glastonbury from a packed like sardines Woodsies stage to the cinema tent to a 2am after party with Grian from Fontaines D.C. on the mic. Stickers all over the British Museum declaring multiple antiquities “stolen from Ireland”.

That was just the beginning…

The band played X2 packed out daytime main-stage shows at this years Reading and Leeds Festival, currently available to watch on the BBC Iplayer. – And they are all set to sell out their September US tour and UK and Irish tour this winter too.

KNEECAP THE MOVIE is also out now in Ireland and the U.S and in the U.K and Australia. The film has received rave reviews and is based around the story of the riotous and ground-breaking Irish language rap-trio Kneecap and stars the band’s Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí in their acting debuts alongside Academy Award nominated Michael Fassbender, Simone Kirby and Josie Walker. Set in west Belfast in 2019, it chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to “change the sound of Irish music forever”.

Just selected by the Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) to represent Ireland in the Oscar International Feature Film category, the film previously scooped the ‘Next Audience Award’ at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and the ‘Audience Award’ at the Galway Film Fleadh in July.

We have also announced details of the release of The Kneecap Film Soundtrack – Out Now digitally, physical release to be announced soon.
