Last night was a real celebration of Welsh music on Later…With Jools Holland.
We’re over the moon to have had Gwenno & Boy Azooga accompany Heavenly Recordings alumni Manic Street Preachers on a what has become a great slice of Heavenly history.
With a strong Welsh spirit in the air, it was great to see Radio 1 DJ and new music champion Huw Stephens chatting to Jools so passionately about Cardiff’s thriving music scene.
Boy Azooga played their smashing single ‘Loner Boogie’ from their up & coming debut album ‘1, 2 Kung Fu’ due for release on Friday 8th June.

WATCH GWENNO PERFORM ‘TIR HA MOR’:
It’s been a while since a Heavenly band has stepped under the bright lights of the ‘Later…’ studio, so having TWO of our current roster performing on one show was a memorable occasion.
On Sunday their is an extended episode which features Boy Azooga performing ‘Face Behind Her Cigarette’ & Gwenno performing her current single ‘Eus Keus?’
In Sunday’s episode, Jools will also have a chat with Gwenno about her Welsh & Cornish Language songwriting and heritage.
TUNE IN TO BBC 2 AT 10.50PM ON SUNDAY NIGHT
A shout out to Manic Street Preachers top performance too.
