Mattiel and Cherry Ghost have both released brand new recordings for the festive season.

Mattiel decided to take on The Ramones‘ ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight)’, written by Joey Ramone and originally released as a B-side in 1987.

Meanwhile, Cherry Ghost takes aim at Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party on ‘Blue Christmas’, singing “I hope that Santa Claus gets you a conscience this Christmas”.

All proceeds from the track – his first new music in over 5 years – will go to Lifeshare, helping homeless and vulnerable people in Manchester and Salford.
