This summer Pip Blom have been storming festivals in Europe playing captivating sets following the release of the bands debut album ‘Boat’ in May.

Next up the band are embarking on their own European headline tour including their biggest headline show to date at London’s Scala in October.

To co-inside with these shows the band have shared a brand new song ‘Freckles’.

Pip say’s on the track:

With Freckles we tried to search for a different kind of sound. Inspired by bands like Micachu and the Shapes and Sonic Youth we were searching for a combination between catchy and quirky. We wanted a big contrast between verse and chorus cause that was a feature we loved from the demo.

Additionally, Burger Records are releasing ‘Boat’ on cassette on October 18th, ahead of the bands US tour in November, pre-order here.

Praise for ‘Boat‘ ✽

“A dead cert for the 6music tea-time kitchen disco, Dutch indie darling Blom hits all the alt-rock pleasure centres: jangly, whistle-able songs with sultry VU vocals. Tight-wound Buzzcocks riffs and Sleater-Kinney choruses.”

MOJO Magazine ★★★★ –

“The Dutch Bands debut feel like an instant classic.”

– Rolling Stone ★★★★ –

“The chemistry that drives them forward on stage fizzes through ‘Boat’ and is just as intoxicating. The back-and-forths. It all adds up to some fuzzy-pop goodness that’s a blast to listen too.”

-Dork Magazine ★★★★–
