The brainchild of Atlanta based producer/polymath Jonah Swilley (a founding member of Mattiel and also known for his production work with Moonwalks and Night Beats ) and Columbus, GA rapper Brandon ‘Bez’ Evans, Revival Season have announced details of the release of their debut album, Golden Age Of Self Snitching, which is out on Friday 23^rd February 2024.

Additionally, they have released their latest single, ‘Pump’, which  sees Georgia USA’s B-Boy dream team return with the kind of slo-mo, bouncing, booming hip hop track that the Southern states were famous for back in the 90s. A truly essential jam for your next block party. 

Taking the languid style of the Daisy Age and bringing it into our paranoid and panicked present day, they have also today shared a self-directed  lo-fi throw down video for ‘Pump’ featuring three B Boys, a truck and a sheet with the track title painted on it. Really, what more do you need?

Revival Season released their debut single, ‘Iron Warrior’ for Heavenly in the summer of 2021 followed by their Outernational mixtape – a 28-minute piece of dub-infused fusion of riffs, rhymes and beats, equal parts King Tubby Prince Paul assembled by Raf Rundell (O.M. Days, The 2 Bears) – to coincide with this year’s SxSW Festival. Releasing further tracks ‘Chop’ and ‘Everybody’, they played a short run of U.K. dates in May – further U.K. shows will be announced shortly.

Finally, Revival Season have contributed the track ‘Gold Teeth’ to the SXSW EP – a three song EP released by Speedy Wunderground as part of its 10th Anniversary celebrations. The track was recorded by label head-honcho Dan Carey on the ground in Austin during the festival at 512 Studios.
