H.Hawkline (Huw Evans) has unveiled the video to Impossible People, the latest track to be taken from his recent album, ‘I Romanticize’ released on Heavenly Recordings.

Talking about the video, which features Aldous Harding and was directed by Casey Raymond, Huw said:

“Casey suggested I go for a romantic dinner with another me, I got no further than the bath. Instead, Hannah pulled a bread marionette out of thin air and Tania sent me videos of her dancing. I think the whole thing is pretty self explanatory, the ink, the water etc etc.”

Casey Raymond added:

“It’s a video about a puppeteer, a dancer and a man in a bath who are collectively hoping that this life is some sort of dry run for what not to do next time.”

Released on Friday June 2nd 2017, ‘I Romanticize’ (like its predecessor and Heavenly Recordings debut, 2015’s In The Pink Of Condition) was recorded at Samur Khouja’s Seahorse Sound studio in Los Angeles with all the lyrics written and then vocals recorded in Narberth in west Wales.  “Some words, as with their meaning, are unavoidable – ‘love’, ‘goodbye’, ‘time’, ‘you’, – but you can at least try and dress them up in some new clothes.”

Co-produced by Samur, Huw and Cate Le Bon, who also forms part of the quartet who appear on the record along with Josiah Steinbrick – LA composer and producer  – and Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa. “They were the absolute best people for the job, and I also happen to be lucky enough to call them friends. Without their hands and ears the wet clay would have collapsed,” said Huw.

Having previously played with the likes of Foxygen, Gwenno and long-time cohort Cate le Bon and also recently completed a run of shows with Devendra Banhart, Aldous Harding and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard he has recently announced a headline tour in the autumn alongside a number of festival appearances over the summer.
