We have two very limited LPs being released for Record Store Day this year, celebrating independent vinyl retailers.
Firstly, Unloved will be releasing the instrumentals to their critically acclaimed 2nd album Heartbreak. A great insight into the full depth of the album’s productions, perfectly complemented by gorgeous artwork by Julian House, this is a special one without a doubt.
Limited to 500, includes download.
Also released on the day, Night Beats take on an undisputed classic in the Garage Rock canon, The Sonics’ Boom, covering the album in its entirety.
Danny Lee Blackwell, along with an arsenal of ace musicians manage to maintain the spirit of original recordings like “Cinderella,” “Don’t You Just Know It,” and a particularly unhinged version of “Louie Louie,” while injecting their own brand of earth-quakin’ soul-shakin, maximum R&B.
Tip on sleeve, limited to 1000, includes download.
Head over to the Record Store Day website to see all of the releases, and more importantly head to your local record shop/s on the 13th of April and help support these special institutions.
