We’re excited to announce that Jarvis Cocker & Parrot have remixed Baxter Dury’s current single ‘Miami,’ the first from his new record ‘Prince of Tears.’
Speaking about the remix, Baxter says:
“Jarvis I guess isn’t interested in doing things politely, this is a different song, possibly a better one.”
LISTEN HERE:
‘Miami’ is the records opening track and portal into a hazy, anti-wonderland. We are guided by ‘Miami’ himself; a foul-mouthed and cocksure character created by Baxter, centred on the delusions that come with heartbreak.
LISTEN TO ‘MIAMI’ HERE:
‘Prince of Tears’ is to be released on Friday October 27th and features guest appearances from Jason Williamson from Sleaford Mods on the track ‘Almond Milk’ and Rose Elinor Dougall on ‘Porcelain’, as well as long-term collaborator Madelaine Hart providing backing vocals across numerous tracks.

album” – Q Magazine ★★★★
“Patently, Baxter Dury paid in physical and mental wellbeing to make ‘Prince of Tears.’ The results are priceless.”
– Record Collector ★★★★
“Dury’s always been keen to play down his talents, aware of his privilege as the son of the Ian Dury, but on his fifth album his composition skills are as insuppressible as his humour. “The sausage man.”– Loud & Quiet
