Take a seat boys and girls,  Australia’s Confidence Man, hailed as “the best up-and-coming live band in Australia” by triple j, have announced details of their latest track, ‘Better Sit Down Boy’.

The track follows ‘Boyfriend (Repeat)’ and ‘Bubblegum’ and was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show.

The track, is accompanied by a typically eye catching and incredibly infectious video directed by Berlin based Schall & Schnabel.

Talking about the track and video, the band said:

“This track is one of our favourite songs to come out of the writing trip we did in rural Australia last year. Turns out the best way to write bangers is in a jacuzzi with a fresh magarita. The cocktail has been made sweeter by the fact that the video was conceived and shot by our film heroes Schall and Scnabel. We met up with them in Berlin and got down and dirty for a couple days until this piece of pure clean sass came out. Seriously considering asking the featured bodybuilder to join the band as a backup dancer.”

Directors Schall & Schnabel added:

“When we first listen to the song, we immediately thought of a sport music video, but in a weird way. When we did some research, we stumbled upon Jazzercise TV videos from the early eighties with Judi Sheppard Misset. She is a blast! This inspired us to do a wild mixture of different sports, arorobics and choreographies, as well as a mixture of TV and Games optics. Daniel Gildner, the bodybuilder, and Margot, the best age actress, added a special vibe to the video, underlined by the styling of Andrea Horn. Darwin Stapel developed choreographies, that had an ironic undertone. Confidence Man brought their incredible live performance onto the set. It was so much fun working on this one”

Fronted by Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, they are already one of the most talked about band’s of 2017 and recently wowed audiences (and, us!) across the UK with their jaw droppingly-good, beyond high energy live shows.

Having played a storming set at this summer’s Splendour in the Grass festival, footage of which has racked up nearly 1.5 million views on Facebook, the band return to the UK in December for a trio of dates.
