Set to appear at this weekend’s Green Man Festival, Tapir! who released their much-acclaimed debut album ‘The Pilgrim, Their God and the King of My Decrepit Mountain’ in January, have today shared a brand-new track, ‘Hallelujah Bruv’.
Tender as a welcome hug, warm as a glowing campfire, ‘Hallelujah Bruv’ might be made up of little more than a picked acoustic guitar and one soaring voice but it feels like being enveloped in a whole world of sound.

Talking about the track, which was recorded at the Total Refreshment Centre with Honeyglaze drummer Yuri Shibuichi and Hywel Pryer, who both have previously worked with the band, Ike from Tapir! said:
“One day after finishing work in a coffee shop in a church yard I narrowly avoided getting locked in by the groundskeeper. He signed off our conversation with ‘Hallelujah, Bruv’. This song is dedicated to this man.“
Having charmed festival audiences last summer at the likes of End of the Road and Sea Change and more recently played a U.K. tour in March, which culminated in a SOLD-OUT show at London’s Kings Place, Tapir! appear at this weekend’s Green Man before heading out for an extensive U.K. / EU tour in October.
