Katy J. Pearson’s latest album Sound of the Morning was the Number 1 independent album after picking up massive support from the best indie shops across the UK. In the press, it was praised as “captivating” (The Guardian, 4*), “a sweet elixir” (NME, 4*) and “a record that contains a whole heap of guts” (Hotpress, 9/10).
Produced by Dan Carey (Fontaines DC, Black Midi, Wet Leg) and Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Gruff Rhys) and featuring guest vocals from Orlando Weeks, it was a universal sound that suited every hour of the day, wherever it was played.
Across 2022, Katy played rapturously received festival shows including Glastonbury, Latitude, Green Man and Blue Dot and sold out a major UK tour and joined Pavement on dates around Europe, before headlining her own shows in France.
2023 has already seen Katy support Yard Act in Australia and next stop is USA in April & May (after last year’s successful trip to SXSW) before more European festivals in the summer.
